Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 10 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.27% to record EGP 316.974 bn compared to EGP 316.119 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.45% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 874.131 bn which represents 36.84% of the total trading volume today after 15.176 million shares were exchanged capturing 3.14% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 172.6 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.62% and 19.748 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.58% to record 3.668 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 1.76% to record 5.464 points.
