Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 26 September with Increase in the market cap by 1.04% to record EGP 319.838 bn compared to EGP 316.533 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.27% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 738.559 mn which represents 24.64% of the total trading volume today after 15.542 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.49% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 110.4 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.17% and 20.530 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 0.45% to record 3.834 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.35% to record 5.732 points.
