Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 26 December with decrease in the market cap by 1.3% to record EGP 391.903 bn compared to EGP 396.967 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.79% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 549.381 mn which represents 16.66% of the total trading volume today after 9.760 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.72% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.96% and 24.407 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 0.07% to record 5.420 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.34% to record 7.777 points.
