Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 7 November with Increase in the market cap by 2.87% to record EGP 361.595 bn compared to EGP 351.499 bn Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.85% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 784.796 mn which represents 18.17% of the total trading volume today after 14.836 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.10% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.45% and 23.479points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 23.479% to record 4.4619 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 1.41% to record 6.857 points.
