Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 19 December with decrease in the market cap by 1.75% to record EGP 409.749 bn compared to EGP 417.063 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.19% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.199 bn which represents 23.88% of the total trading volume today after 17.155 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.14% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.02% and 25.532 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 1.02% to record 5.528 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.14% to record 8.028 points.
