Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 3 Abril with increase in the market cap by 1.45% or EGP265.437 billion compared to EGP261.648 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.14% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 289.821 million which represents 12.09% of the total trading volume today after 7.272 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.42% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 2.17% at 17.107 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.88% to record 2.900 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 2.04 %to record 4.388 points.
