The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 27 February with decreased in the market cap by 1.32% or EGP 283.840 billion compared to EGP 287.645 billion at the end Sunday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.98% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 299.999 million which represents 15.79% of the total trading volume today after 7.263 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.53% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreases and turnover amounted EGP 92 million on shares.

The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.67% at 17.359 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks declines by 0.26% to record 3.036 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declines by 0.20% to record 4.532 points.
