The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 20 February 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.7% to record EGP 480.777 bn compared to EGP 484.337 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.84% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.140 bn which represents 14.88% of the total trading volume today after 17.822 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.10% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.41% and 29.660 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 2.22% to record 7.715 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.74 % to record 10.710 points.
