Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 21 May 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.19% to record EGP 423.103 bn compared to EGP 423.926 bn at Monday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.05% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.535 bn which represents 27.05% of the total trading volume today after 43.920 million shares were exchanged capturing 6.19% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with the increase of all indicators.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” dropped by 0.01%, to record 27.615 points EGX70 decreased by 0.21% to record 5.964 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.10% to record 8.638 points.
