Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 26 March 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.86% to record EGP 474.747 bn compared to EGP 478.873 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.43% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 292.956 mn which represents 8.64% of the total trading volume today after 4.750 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.73% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 19.2 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.98% and 29.538 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks decreased by 0.40% to record 6.792 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.59% to record 9.688 points.
