The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 28 May 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.06% to record EGP 422.835 bn compared to EGP 423.082bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.18% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 287.706 mn which represents 9.16% of the total trading volume today after 4.699million shares were exchanged capturing 0.73% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.34%, to record 27296.89 points EGX70 decreased by 0.51% to record 5.999points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.57% to record 8680.28points.
