The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 16 May 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.74% to record EGP 414.815 bn compared to EGP 411.788 bn at yesterday 's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.75% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 390.051 mn which represents 11.63% of the total trading volume today after 6.794million shares were exchanged capturing 0.80% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 3.27%, to record 26.165 points EGX70 increased by 3.46% to record 5.665 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 3.66% to record 8.160 points.
