The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 26 May 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.88% to record EGP 424.837 bn compared to EGP 421.125bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.84% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 66.837 mn which represents 2.04% of the total trading volume today after 1.686million shares were exchanged capturing 0.23% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 alone and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.23%, to record 27.584 points EGX70 increased by 1.65% to record 6.038 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.72% to record 8735.09 points.
