Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 16 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.93% to record EGP 429.118 bn compared to EGP 433.128 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.49% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 373.107 mn which represents 11.46% of the total trading volume today after7.393million shares were exchanged capturing 0.98% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.44%, to record 28.094 points EGX70 increased by 0.84% to record 6.338 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.67% to record 9.136 points.
