Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 14 May 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.04% to record EGP 412.879 bn compared to EGP 412.712 bn at yesterday 's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.39% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 213.857 mn which represents 8.67% of the total trading volume today after 3.768million shares were exchanged capturing 0.60% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.16%, to record 25.654 points EGX70 decreased by 0.56% to record 5504 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.60% to record 7.920 points.
