The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 2 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 2.60% to record EGP 421.343 bn compared to EGP 432.607 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.22% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 317.884 mn which represents 7.44% of the total trading volume today after 6.276 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.67% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.06%, to record 28174.67 points EGX70 decreased by 0.37% to record 6299.66 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.19% to record 9140.86points.
