The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 9 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.56% to record EGP 435.921 bn compared to EGP 438.356 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.60% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 363.721 mn which represents 10.45% of the total trading volume today after 8.487 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.31% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.19%, to record 28518.10points EGX70 increased by 0.25% to record 6355.64 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.24% to record 9189.60points.
