Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 10 September 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 452.765bn compared to EGP 454.956bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.91% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 308.143mn which represents 8.16% of the total trading volume today after 5.696million shares were exchanged capturing 0.56% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.89% to reach 30.511 points EGX70 decrease by 0.96% to record 7.185 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 1.02% to record 10.242 points.
