HD Bank tops the fastest growing banks in retail deposits during 2024

Housing and Development Bank achieved strong growth in the volume of its individual deposits over the past year, as its portfolio jumped to 80.471 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 46.120 billion pounds by the end of 2023, with a growth rate of 74.48%, and a total increase of 34.351 billion pounds.

 

This strong performance prompted the Housing and Development Bank to top the «First Bank» list of banks with the fastest growth in individual deposits during 2024, compared to second place during the same corresponding period in 2023.

The bank was also able to achieve good growth in its portfolio of institutional deposits, which increased by about 16.93% over the past year, reaching 64.489 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 55.154 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

In general, Housing and Development Bank recorded strong growth in all its main financial indicators, as its net profits increased at a growth rate of 83.1% and an increase of 5.01 billion pounds, recording 11.04 billion pounds during the year 2024, compared to 6.03 billion pounds during the year 2023.

Its pre-tax profits jumped at a growth rate of 82.7%, recording 15.010 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 8.22 billion in 2023, an increase of 6.79 billion pounds.

The basic share of the share in profits increased at a growth rate of 85.2%, recording 18.41 pounds during the year 2024, compared to 9.94 pounds during the year 2023.

The bank's total deposit portfolio increased by about 43.1%, with an increase of 43.69 billion pounds over the past year, to record 144.96 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 101.27 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

The total loan portfolio jumped at a growth rate of 23.1% and an increase of 10.49 billion pounds over the past year, reaching 55.97 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 45.49 billion by the end of 2023.

Its total assets amounted to 179.45 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 125.1 billion pounds by the end of 2023, an increase of 54.35 billion pounds and a growth rate of 43.4%.
