Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 29 April 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.6% to record EGP 475.500 bn compared to EGP 478.202 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.36% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 95.247 mn which represents 2.53% of the total trading volume today after 2.327 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.18% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 0.09% to reach 32.218 points EGX70 decrease by 0.33% to record 9.365 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.29% to record 12.750 points.
