First Bank’s list of the fastest growing private sector banks in net profits in the last 3 years revealed that the Arab Banking Corporation Bank topped – Egypt «ABC», with an average growth of 670.15%, as the bank achieved net profits of 2.065 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 1.306 billion pounds in 2023, and 62.175 million pounds in 2023.

This list monitored the net profits of 20 private banks operating in the Egyptian banking system for which financial data were available for the last 3 years, specifically for the years 2024, 2023 and 2022, and showed that all the banks monitored achieved positive growth rates in their net profits, and it is worth noting that Bank ABC and FABMISR completed acquisitions during this period, which affected the average growth rates of the two banks

Returning to the list, First Abu Dhabi Bank – Egypt «FABMISR» snatched second place with an average growth of 203.6%, as the bank achieved net profits of 26.35 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 10.43 billion pounds in 2023, and 3.93 billion pounds in 2022.

Emirates NBD Bank – Egypt «Emirates NBD» took third place with an average growth of 118.2% over 3 years, as its net profits amounted to 5.31 billion pounds during 2024, compared to 3.24 billion pounds in 2023, and 1.18 billion pounds in 2022.

Suez Canal Bank came in fourth place, with an average growth of 113.4% over 3 years, as the bank’s net profits amounted to 5.68 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 2.29 billion pounds in 2023, and 1.04 billion pounds in 2022.

Bank NXT won fifth place, after the average growth in its net profits reached 111% in the last 3 years, as it recorded net profits of 1.77 billion pounds during 2024, compared to 1.15 billion pounds during 2023, and 525.61 million pounds in 2022.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK – Egypt» came sixth, with an average growth of 101.8% over 3 years, achieving a net profit of 6.64 billion pounds during 2024, compared to 2.80 billion pounds during 2023, and 1.68 billion pounds during 2022.
