EGBANK, ADCB and SC Bank top fastest-growing banks in loans during Q1-2025

First Bank list of the fastest growing banks in total customer loans during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that the Egyptian Gulf Bank «EGBANK» topped the list with a growth rate of 18.9%, as its total portfolio of customer loans increased by about EGP 9.07 bn during the first quarter of 2025, recording EGP 57.1 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 48.03 bn by the end of 2024.
The list, which included 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data were available during the period under analysis, revealed that all banks under analysis achieved positive growth rates in their clients’ total loan portfolios during the first quarter of 2025.
Returning to the list, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt «ADCB» seized second place, after its total customers loans increased by about 15.1% during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 63.28 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 54.96 bn by the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank came in third place, as its portfolio of total customer loans jumped by about 14.798% during the first quarter of this year, recording EGP 90.88 bn at the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 79.17 bn at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB» took fourth place, as the total volume of its customers financing increased by about 14.796% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching EGP 117.94 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 102.74 bn by the end of 2024.
BANK NXT came in fifth place with a growth rate of 13.7% during the first quarter of this year, after its total customers loans increased to EGP 36.95 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 32.51 bn by the end of 2024.
Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» won sixth place, as its total customer loans increased by about 11.2% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching EGP 73.33 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 65.93 bn by the end of 2024.
The United Bank dominated seventh place, after its total customers loans jumped by about 10% during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 34.29 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 31.19 bn by the end of 2024.
