SC Bank, ADIB, and the United Bank top the fastest growing listed banks in financial investments during Q1-2025

First Bank list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with the fastest growth in total financial investments and treasury bills during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list, as its portfolio of financial investments jumped by about 17.5%, reaching 36.32 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 30.92 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

The list, which includes all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that 10 banks achieved positive growth rates in their total financial investment portfolios, while two banks recorded a decline in the size of their portfolio during the first quarter of 2025.

Returning to the list, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt«ADIB» snatched second place, as its total financial investments jumped by about 16.5% during the first 3 months of this year, reaching 48.91 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 41.97 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

The United Bank came in third place, as its total financial investments increased by about 16.1% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 28.72 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 24.74 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

Commercial International Bank-Egypt «CIB» came fourth with a growth rate of 11.8% during the first quarter of 2025, after its total financial investments rose to 447.41 billion pounds at the end of last March, compared to 400.31 billion pounds at the end of 2024.

As for fifth place, it went to Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt, where its portfolio of financial investments increased by about 10.9% during the first 3 months of this year, recording 130.96 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 118.14 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are in accordance with the independent financial statements announced for each bank at the end of March 2025.
