AAIB, ADCB, and  attijariwafa top fastest growing private sector banks in financial investments during last 3 years

First Bank list of the fastest growing private sector banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector in financial investments in the last 3 years revealed that the Arab African International Bank topped the list with a growth rate of 322.3%, after its portfolio rose to 301.81 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 71.48 billion pounds by the end of 2021.

First Bank list monitored the total financial investments of 19 private banks operating in the Egyptian banking system for which financial data were available for the last 3 years (specifically from the end of 2021, until the end of 2024), and showed that 17 of them achieved positive growth rates, while only two banks achieved a noticeable decline.Last 3 years.

It is worth noting that the banks «FABMISR» and «ABC» achieved growth rates of 629.1% and 562.1% in the last 3 years as a result of the acquisitions that took place and were excluded from the classification for the accuracy of the comparison.

Returning to the list, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank - Egypt «ADCB» seized second place, as its portfolio of financial investments increased by about 128.5% in the last 3 years, reaching 37.16 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 16.26 billion pounds by the end of 2021.

Attijariwafa Bank came third, with a growth rate of 104.3% over the last 3 years, thanks to the increase in its financial investment portfolio to 28.39 billion pounds at the end of 2024, compared to 13.89 billion pounds at the end of 2021.

HSBC Bank – Egypt «HSBC» came in fourth place, after its total financial investments increased by about 104% in the last 3 years, recording 104.41 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 51.19 billion pounds by the end of 2021.

Al Baraka Bank came in fifth place, after the volume of its financial investments increased by about 102.8% in the last 3 years, reaching 41.50 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 20.46 billion pounds by the end of 2021.

Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» came sixth, as its portfolio of financial investments jumped by about 97.8% in the last 3 years, reaching 42.66 billion pounds at the end of 2024, compared to 21.57 billion pounds at the end of 2021.

Qatar National Bank «QNB» Egypt ranked seventh, after the volume of its financial investments increased by about 94% in the last 3 years, recording 251.92 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 129.87 billion pounds by the end of 2021.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt «CIB» dominated eighth place, thanks to an increase in its portfolio of financial investments by about 88% over the last 3 years, reaching 400.31 billion pounds at the end of 2024, compared to 212.95 billion pounds at the end of 2021.

BANK NXT«snatched ninth place, after the volume of its financial investments increased by about 75.7% over the last 3 years, reaching about 24 billion pounds at the end of 2024, compared to 13.66 billion pounds at the end of 2021.

As for tenth place, it went to Credit Agricole Bank-Egypt, where its portfolio of financial investments jumped by about 71.5% in the last 3 years, reaching 23.05 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 13.44 billion pounds by the end of 2021.
