KFH–Egypt, Emirates NBD and NBK-Egypt top best banks in employing deposits to grant loans by March 2025-End

First Bank list of the best banks in the deposit placement rate for granting loans (loans/deposits) at the end of March 2025 revealed that Kuwait Finance House Bank topped – Egypt with an placement rate of 69.4%, after the total customer financing debit portfolio reached 89.70 billion pounds, and the volume of its deposits reached about 129.30 billion pounds at the end of last March.
First Bank list monitored the deposit placement rates for loans at 25 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data was available during the period under analysis, and revealed that 24 of the banks under analysis achieved good placement rates that ranged between 69.4% and 26.7%, while Faisal Islamic Bank continued.Egypt is moving in the opposite direction of banks, as it recorded the lowest rate of placing deposits to grant loans at the end of March 2025.
Returning to the list, the National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «NBK-Egypt» came in second place with a deposit placement rate for granting loans that reached 66.3%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded 108.94 billion pounds, while the size of its deposit portfolio reached about 164.43 billion by the end of March 2025.
Emirates NBD Bank – Egypt «Emirates NBD» came in third place, after its deposit placement rate for loans reached 65.3%, as the bank’s total customer loan portfolio recorded 87.97 billion pounds, while its customer deposit portfolio reached 134.78 billion by the end of March 2025.
Credit Agricole Bank – Egypt occupied fourth place with a deposit placement rate for granting loans amounting to 61.3%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded about 58.15 billion pounds, while the size of its deposit portfolio reached 94.88 billion pounds by the end of March 2025.
Suez Canal Bank ranked fifth with a deposit placement rate for granting loans of 60.1%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded 90.88 billion pounds, while its customer deposit portfolio reached 151.32 billion pounds by the end of March 2025.
Banque du Caire took sixth place with a deposit placement rate for granting loans of 59.2%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded about 218.56 billion pounds, while its deposit portfolio reached 369.23 billion pounds by the end of March 2025.
Attijariwafa Bank Egypt came in seventh place with a deposit placement rate for granting loans of 59.1%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded 60.69 billion pounds, while the size of its deposit portfolio reached 102.61 billion by the end of March 2025.
The Egyptian Export Development Bank «Ebank» ranked eighth with a deposit placement rate for granting loans of 57.9%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded 75.74 billion pounds, while the size of its deposit portfolio reached 130.90 billion by the end of March 2025.
Al Baraka Bank ranked ninth with a deposit placement rate for granting loans of 57.6%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded 64.88 billion pounds, while the size of its deposit portfolio reached 112.56 billion pounds by the end of March 2025.
As for tenth place, it was obtained by the Arab International Banking Company «saib» Bank with a deposit placement rate for granting loans of 56.6%, after its total customer loan portfolio recorded 73.33 billion pounds, while its deposit portfolio reached 129.58 billion pounds.
