FABMISR tops Best banks in asset coverage ratio for deposits by March 2025-End

First Abu Dhabi Bank - Egypt «FABMISR» topped the list «First Bank» of the best banks in the asset coverage rate for deposits at the end of March 2025, with a coverage rate of 159.91%, thus maintaining its lead, as it previously topped the same list for the year 2024.

Asset coverage rate for deposits at «First Abu Dhabi - Egypt» is considered very high, and reflects the extent of the high ability that the bank possesses to fulfill its obligations towards depositors, as deposits represent about 62.54% of the total assets owned by the bank by the end of March 2025.

The bank's asset portfolio rose to EGP 461.91 billion by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 412.71 billion by the end of 2024, a growth rate of 11.9% on a quarterly basis.

The customer deposit portfolio increased by about 11.6% during the first quarter of this year, recording 288.87 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 258.79 billion pounds at the end of 2024, a total increase exceeding 30 billion pounds.

It is worth noting that First Abu Dhabi Bank – Egypt achieved net profits of EGP 3.9 billion during the first quarter of 2025, compared to EGP 9.9 billion during the same period in 2024.

The bank's profits before income taxes recorded 5.96 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 13.47 billion pounds during the same period in 2024.

The bank's net income from returns amounted to 7.3 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, recording a growth of 20% compared to the same period in 2024, in a clear indication of the strength of its financial position and the effectiveness of its operational strategies.

The bank's total loans to customers increased by about 7.6% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 160.25 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 148.9 billion pounds by the end of 2024, a total increase of 11.35 billion pounds.
