Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday, 16 July 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 1.16% to record EGP 508.018 bn compared to EGP 513.989 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.06% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 260.896 mn which represents 5.9% of the total trading volume today after 6.11 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.50% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 1.36% to reach 34.089 points EGX70 decrease by 0.46% to record 10.210 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.61% to record 13.841 points.
