Egypt’s C.Bank issues four T-bills auctions worth EGP 77.5bn on Thursday

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 77.5 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 12 January.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 20 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 18 July 2023, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering stood at EGP 23.50 billion and will mature in 364 days on 16 January 2024. Furthermore, the third offering stood at EGP 13 billion and will mature in 91 days on 15 January 2023 and the fourth offering stood at EGP 21 billion and will mature in 273 days.

On 9 January, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 35 billion through two auctions.
