Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday, 23 July 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.42% to record EGP 520.948 bn compared to EGP 518.746 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.10% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 186.922 mn which represents 4.0% of the total trading volume today after 4.85 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.20% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.95% to reach 34.125 points EGX70 increase by 0.21% to record 10.334 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.31% to record 13.921 points.
