Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 27 July 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 2.26% to record EGP 532.715 bn compared to EGP 520.948 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.31% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 315.979 mn which represents 7.84% of the total trading volume today after 6.31 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.34% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 1.26% to reach 34.554 points EGX70 increase by 0.30% to record 10.284 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.41% to record 13.997 points.
