Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 11 May 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.81% to record EGP 468.203 bn compared to EGP 472.042 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.63% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 182.952 mn which represents 5.68% of the total trading volume today after 3.668 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.25% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 1.08% to reach 32.022 points EGX70 decrease by 0.64% to record 9.602 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.71% to record 12.977 points.
