Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday 's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 2 March 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.28% to record EGP 472.753 bn compared to EGP 471.436 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 117.795 mn which represents 4.56% of the total trading volume today after 2.300 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.26% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.81% to reach 30.949 points EGX70 decreased by 0.05% to record 8.662 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.21% to record 11.970 points.
