Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday,23 February 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.8% to record EGP 481.869 bn compared to EGP 478.225 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.98% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 143.421 mn which represents 4.24% of the total trading volume today after 4.152 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.30% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.31% to reach 31.054 points EGX70 increases by 1.13% to record 8.726 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.86% to record 11.996 points.
