Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 29 December 2024 with an decrease in the market cap by 1.5% to record EGP 474.494 bn compared to EGP 481.586 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.75% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 184.531 mn which represents 7.89% of the total trading volume today after 5.397 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.60% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 1.21% to reach 30.033 points EGX70 decrease by 0.87% to record 8.225 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.78% to record 11.296 points.
