Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 17 November 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.6% to record EGP 476.391bn compared to EGP 479.034bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.37% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 141.173mn which represents 5.04% of the total trading volume today after 4.093 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.33% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.67% to reach 31.492 points EGX70 fell by 0.04% to record 8.450 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.19% to record 11.710 points.
