Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 11 November  2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.3% to record EGP 470.201bn compared to EGP 468.586bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.48% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 538.700mn which represents 11.73% of the total trading volume today after 11.129 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.58% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.72% to reach 31.621 points EGX70 rose by 0.20% to record 8.403 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.34% to record 11.688 points.
