Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 5 November 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 462.088bn compared to EGP 464.361bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.70% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 303.428mn which represents 8.63% of the total trading volume today after 5.590 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.44% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase 'EGX30' alone and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.47% to reach 30.820 points EGX70 decrease by 0.08 % to record 8.174 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.04% to record 11.376 points.
