Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 30 October 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 450.387bn compared to EGP 452.726bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.45% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 335.974mn which represents 10.85% of the total trading volume today after 5.971 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.67% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 96.8mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.81% to reach 30.725 points EGX70 decrease by 0.17 % to record 7.982 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.33% to record 11.181 points.
