Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday, 18 August  2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.20% to record EGP 546.165  bn compared to EGP 547.269 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.41% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 622.15  mn which represents 11.71% of the total trading volume today after 10.01  million shares were exchanged capturing 0.74% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with a decrease of “EGX30”and an increase of  “EGX70”,“EGX100” , turnover amounted EGP  258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.41% to reach 36.206  points “EGX70” rose by 0.74% to record 10.791   points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.65% to record 14.456  points.
