The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 21 August 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.8% to record EGP 466.909bn compared to EGP 463.235bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.57% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 634.681mn which represents 12.69% of the total trading volume today after 23.935million shares were exchanged capturing 1.78 of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with  stability in EGX30 and an increase in both  EGX70 & EGX100 , the turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

he main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” settled to reach 30.020 points EGX70 increased by 0.44% to record 6.900 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.26% to record 9.887 points.
