The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 26 June 2024 with increase in the market cap by 1.97% to record EGP 426.587 bn compared to EGP 418.347bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.83% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 517.225 mn which represents 10.03% of the total trading volume today after 12.216million shares were exchanged capturing 1.12% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.87%, to record 27600.92 points EGX70 increased by 0.51% to record 6026.16 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.77% to record 8994.75points.
