The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 12 June 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.75% to record EGP 411.326 bn compared to EGP 408.261bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.35% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 178.844 mn which represents 9.04% of the total trading volume today after 3.176million shares were exchanged capturing 0.47% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.20%, to record 26303.47 points EGX70 increased by 2.25% to record 5881.58 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.61% to record 8477.82points.
