Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 10 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.08% to record EGP 435.566 bn compared to EGP 435.921 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.66% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 365.150 mn which represents 11.11% of the total trading volume today after7.350 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.19% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.63%, to record 28.702 points EGX70 decreased by 0.57% to record 6.354 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.59% to record 9.209 points.
