The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 17 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.57% to record EGP 431.558 bn compared to EGP 429.118 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.21% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 297.796 mn which represents 8.26% of the total trading volume today after6.356million shares were exchanged capturing 0.77% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.84%, to record 28345.92 points EGX70 increased by 1.51% to record 6.428 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.64% to record 9.9272.33 points.
