Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 4 November 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 464.361bn compared to EGP 461.990bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.76% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 539.391mn which represents 13.50% of the total trading volume today after 9.044 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.88% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 65.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.59% to reach 31.074 points EGX70 decrease by 0.04 % to record 8.189 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.15% to record 11.421 points.
