Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 2 September 2024 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.39% to record EGP 459.760bn compared to EGP 461.537 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.78% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 379.080mn which represents 6.15% of the total trading volume today after 8.730million shares were exchanged capturing 0.63% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 27mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.55%, to record 31.221 points EGX70 decreased by 0.38% to record 7201.13 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.47% to record 10331.43points.
