Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 24 June 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.27% to record EGP 416.737 bn compared to EGP 415.597bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.87% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 359.555 mn which represents 9.60% of the total trading volume today after 6.889million shares were exchanged capturing 0.59% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.59%, to record 27308.21 points EGX70 increased by 0.11% to record 6167.22 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.03% to record 8896.72points.
