Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 29 April 2024 with increase in the market cap by 4.8% to record EGP 420.032 bn compared to EGP 400.745 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 379.886 mn which represents 13.77% of the total trading volume today after 6.591 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.02% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 5.57%, to record 26.011 points EGX70 increased by 2.59% to record 5.862 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 3.43% to record 8.376 points.
