Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 12 February 2024 with Increase in the market cap by 2.6% to record EGP 481.051 bn compared to EGP 469.081 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.81% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 699.045 mn which represents 14.15% of the total trading volume today after 9.228 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.95% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.05% and 28.689 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 0.18% to record 6.886 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.06% to record 9.662 points.
