Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 11 December with Increase in the market cap by 0.93% to record EGP 404.697 bn compared to EGP 400.961 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.14% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 707.616 mn which represents 19.30% of the total trading volume today after 12.022 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.96% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.03% and 24.260 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks declined by 1.61% to record 5.194 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.42% to record 7.547 points.
